Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
Battery energy storage systems (BESS) help provide stability to the electricity grid. BESS will store surplus electricity at times of low demand and then deploy energy at times of high demand.
Battery energy storage systems can provide excellent returns for Developers and Operators. BESS are traded with National Grid and provide energy for the various Balancing Services generating revenue for the Operator.
Battery energy storage systems can either be standalone, they can be retrofitted to existing renewable energy systems or installed in parallel with a new energy project. When a BESS is installed in parallel with a renewable energy technology, excess energy can be stored in the BESS and then released back onto the grid when it is needed. This allows for the renewable energy generator to be fully utilised and maximise the grid connection.
Our team develop and manage projects from 5MW BESS up to 50MW.
Onshore Wind
Wind energy is one of the most fundamental renewable energy technologies that will enable the UK to reach net Zero by 2050.
High wind sites, especially those with engaged communities offer great opportunities and returns for Developers and Operators.
Wind turbines come in a range of sizes, and we work and look after projects from only a single 500kW turbines up to multiple-turbine windfarms.
Solar PV
Solar PV is a mature, low maintenance renewable technology that contributes to the UK's energy demand.
At the end of 2021, over 14GW of solar PV had been deployed across the UK, of which 65% is on ground-mounted solar. The Committee on Climate Change estimates that the UK will need to deploy 54GW by to meet our net-zero carbon emission targets.
We manage the development and operation of ground-mounted solar farms. Ground-mounted solar farms offer excellent opportunities to deliver strong returns for Developers and Operators across the UK.
